Magical★Explorer: Reincarnated as an Eroge Hero's Friend, I'll Live Freely With My Eroge Knowledge. (マジカル★エクスプローラー エロゲの友人キャラに転生したけど、ゲーム知識使って自由に生きる?) is the manga adaptation of the light novel series of the same name, illustrated by Yukari Higa.
The manga adaptation began with Higa's promotional one-shot manga for the light novel, originally released online on October 15, 2019 via the official website and Higa's social media in order to promote the release of Light Novel Volume 01.[1] At the same time, it was announced that Higa would be illustrating a proper manga adaptation that would begin in early 2020.[2] The following year on August 10, 2020, the manga's main serialization finally began, hosted on Kadokawa's Young Ace Up web-manga service. The first compiled volume released in Japan on March 10, 2021 and included the original one-shot as a bonus. Starting in Summer 2021, updates to the manga would become sporadic out of consideration for Higa's health.
The manga was officially licensed for an English release on December 20, 2021 by Yen Press.[3] The first English volume released on July 12, 2022.
Synopsis[]

After all, living as Kousuke Takioto means watching his best friend win over all the girls—and getting none for himself. That’s how the script goes, anyway. But if he uses his full knowledge of the game to his advantage, maybe there’s still a chance! A chance to turn his nightmare into his own private paradise...

- The official Twitter account for Kadokawa's Young Ace Up web service revealed on June 8, 2021 that the manga adaptation would go on a long term hiatus due to Yukari Higa undergoing medical treatment.[4] The following year, the manga returned to serialization on an irregular schedule, with each chapter divided into even smaller parts out of consideration for Higa's health. These smaller chapter pieces released with varying schedules during specific seasons: Chapter 5 during Spring 2022, Chapter 6 during Fall 2022, Chapter 7 during Summer 2023, and Chapter 8 during Winter 2023-2024.[5]
- On March 10, 2021, a special voice comic was created to coincide with the release of the manga's first compiled volume. The voice comic covers Chapter 1 and half of Chapter 4. The voice comic's primary cast features:
